Experienced Structural & Payload Design Engineer

Boeing Space and Launch, In-Space Vehicles is searching for a (level 4) Structure & Payload Design Engineer. This position may develop, integrate and document structural and payload system requirements to establish the primary structures system design for satellite product lines including primary structures, deployable structures, platform and payload structures. This position is located at Seal Beach, California.
Primary job duties:
Leads team to develop, maintain and modify structures/payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (Uni-graphics NX, Creo-parametric, NASTRAN/PATRAN), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5M) standards and/or other design methods, to drive product definition with other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Defines mechanical, structural, environmental design and integration requirements for the S/C and its constituent assemblies and components including both flight and non-flight (GSE) hardware.
Defines the spacecraft drawing/model tree and assignment, general arrangement drawing/model, and all Interface Control Dwg/Models including but not limited to Moving Mechanical Assemblies (MMAs).
Defines and maintains drawing/modeling requirements, standards and flow-down thereof.
Defines the design standards required for design-analysis integrated models.
Defines mechanical design trade space and closure criteria.
Defines and executes on CCCP (Critical Clearance Control Plan) including definition and verification of CCCL (Critical Clearance Control List activities).
Supports and approves of manufacturing and integration plan, Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and Virtual Manufacturing (VM) simulation reviews.
Supports and approves of design reviews, test plans and procedures, critical planning procedures.

Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Basic Qualifications (required):
Experience with space vehicle structure and/or payload and antenna configuration and physical design.
Experience with design, analysis and manufacturing of structural components.
Experience with structure materials and processes including metals, composites, bonded and bolted joints, etc?
Experience with space hardware qualification and test requirements.
This position requires successful completion of a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with structural dynamics, loads and stress analysis.
Experience with thermal system design and thermal hardware including heat pipes, blankets and active thermal control systems.
Experience with mechanisms and mechanical systems including release devices and deployments.
Experience with the basic principles and requirements of spacecraft bus subsystems including electrical power, propulsion, attitude determination and control, telemetry and command.
Experience with space environments and survivability techniques including contamination, radiation, EMI/EMC, ESD, etc?
Experience with launch vehicle interfaces, adapter and release systems.
Experience working with suppliers and supplier management personnel.
Experience with hardware manufacturing and spacecraft AI&T.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
