SECURITY SPECIALIST (COMMAND & STAFF PROGRAM)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Enforcing protective measures for safeguarding information critical to national security; 2) Implementing procedures for marking, safeguarding, dissemination, transmission, transportation, escorting, hand-carry, storage and destruction of classified materials; 3) Ensuring personnel security clearance eligibility is continuously evaluated; 4) Submitting Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) applications through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigative Processing (e-QIP) or official system of record to track investigations to completion and adjudication; and 5) Reporting threats to national security, loss, compromise, electronic spillages, and other violations. The incumbent must refrain from the use of illegal drugs, pass random drug tests for the presence of illicit drugs and adhere to the provisions of the Navy's Drug-Free Workplace Program. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of the normal workday in connection with travel to and from meetings, inspections, and investigations. No special physical requirements are necessary. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is performed in an office setting, but occasionally required that the employee perform surveys at other departments or locations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
